"The New Cathedral" is a documentary film chronicling the story leading to the construction of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Baltimore and the first fifty years of the Cathedral's service.

Topics of the film include:

• The history of Catholicism in Maryland -- the first colony in North America to adopt "freedom of religion"
• The life and contributions of Thomas O'Neill
• The planning, design, and construction of the Cathedral
• The first 50 years of the Cathedral
• The work and future of the Cathedral

The film will be available for personal, public, and private libraries on DVD and Blu-ray discs, and will be formatted for potential television broadcast. Release of the DVD and Blu-ray discs will be announced and managed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 2011.
